Sony’s recently unveiled PlayStation Move can be hooked up to 4 controllers at once but connecting 4 Move controllers with their sub-controllers is impossible. Sony has confirmed that all 4 PlayStation Move controllers along with their sub-controllers can’t be connected at once. The reason for this limitation is PS3’s Bluetooth support that can handle seven simultaneous BT connections only.

This does look like a dampener but from a consumers’ point of view, I don’t think it should matter much since developers will be knowing it and won’t develop a control scheme that will require all of them at the same time. However, 4 players with the main Move controller will be able to play simultaneously.

PlayStation Move is scheduled for a fall launch with its starter kit expected to be priced under $100.
